Digital Detox Made Fun!

In today’s tech-driven world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, and constantly distracted. Our Digital Wellness Retreat program offers a transformative approach to re-connecting with our-selves and the natural world, and enjoying a healthier tech-life balance. This nature-based program is based on our book Less Screen More Green - with a foreword by Dr. Jane Goodall.

YOGA, CHI GONG, MEDITATION, MINDFUL TECH, FOREST BATHING & CONTEMPLATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY

Throughout the retreat, we’ll guide you through mindful practices that empower you to break free from tech dependency (addiction?) and reset your relationship with your phone and digital media.

By the end of the retreat, you’ll have learned healthier tech habits and practical wellness tools.

of dopamine; to use our tech with a sense of purpose, not endless distraction; to set guidelines and boundaries around screentime, social media, and notifications. Discover how to create a low- EMF, and tech-free sanctuary to sleep well throughout the night and boost your long-term wellbeing.

• Clarity and Focus: Learn techniques to be more fully present in the moment, and develop a calmer mind facing deadlines and demands at work, even in our frenzied, hyper-connected world.

Getting outdoors, being in nature is always good. However, what's the impact if you're still absorbed in a digital cocoon? What do you miss when you're locked into your playlist? Our Mindful Tech approach is about finding balance with screen-free, analog, and nature-focused activities.
Our Forest Bathing nature walks - unplugged in any green space - offer ways to slow down, tune into our senses, ground ourselves and break free from digital addiction. Nature time heals and fuels us. This is the remedy for digital stress.

Easy Chi Gong

When we sit for hours a day, our inner river becomes sluggish; we’re lacking oxygen.

 

Depleted energy manifest as fatigue, or depression.

Practicing these gentle movements  whenever you feel tired or stressed gets your chi life force flowing again. 


Breathing in fresh air, we recharge our life force and connect with the natural energy fields of the earth. 

 

Get the blood and lymph flowing. You may be surprised at how good you feel.

Mindful Tech is about finding a healthy balance; using technology with intention— not letting it enslave you. We even use our digital devices in this mindfulness practice. Our Mindful EYE is creative fun for novices and professional photographers alike. 

     

The Mindful Eye - Zen & the Art of Contemplative Photography

Many participants use their smartphone cameras; we request they use airplane mode to stay offline and just be present in the moment.

 

This meditative practice is to slow down and see the world with fresh eyes, to tune into the colours, textures and vivid display of the phenomenal world.

Photography has the power to deepen our awareness and reconnect us with the present moment. Inspired by The Mindful Eye approach, we invite you to slow down, observe, and see the world in a way that is both intentional and compassionate.​

​

Through guided sessions in nature, you’ll learn to engage fully with your surroundings and capture images with a sense of stillness and reverence, helping you transform your relationship with both nature and yourself. Through the process, you’ll cultivate a practice of truly “seeing” — not just through your camera, but with all your senses, as we do in Forest Bathing.

• Mindful Seeing: Learn techniques to slow down and deepen your connection with nature.

• Techniques for Intuitive Photography: Focus on light, colour, texture, and detail, using your camera as a tool for mindfulness.

• Nature as a Teacher: Engage deeply with nature and let the landscape guide your creative eye.

• Reflective Practice: Share your images (optional) and reflect on your experience, cultivating insight and awareness through the process.
